I am now settled in my apartment surrounded by my photos and personal belongings and it feels like home. My health is not that good, but with the 24 hour monitoring service, help is at my fingertips. The personal care and comforts I receive, like excellent food and good company, are all my husband could have wanted for me.
I am surrounded by friends in the comfort of my new home. I can now feel free to enjoy my life free from worries. I would recommend Garden View Village to anyone.

Rocky Mountain Village is a wonderful place. I enjoy living here for lots of reasons: The people who work here are just wonderful, the meals are very good and the activities are fun.
I love that the shuttle bus is available to get me where I need to go, whether it be to my doctor's appointments or shopping. It really supports my independence.
One of my favourite things about my new home is the real feeling of togetherness we all share. All of the residents look out for one another. I always take comfort knowing that my friends are all close by if I need them and, with the 24 hour monitoring system, so are the staff!

I chose Castle Wood Village because of its prime location in downtown Castlegar, but I have found that it provides so much more: It has everything to meet my wants and needs.
For example, I think it is fantastic that dinner is included in my rent, staff co-ordinate activities to meet my personal interests, bus service is available to take me where I need to go, and the best live entertainment is available every Saturday night.
I still enjoy doing all the things I did before - I'm a gardener and I continue to create beauty here. I enjoy dancing and look forward to the nights when we have live entertainment. We have a lot of fun here!
We have it all here for everyone. Do I like living here? I love it!
You don't have to die to go to Heaven; you just have to live at Castle Wood Village.

I moved to Nelson in 1957, raised 9 children in town and love the fact that I didn't have to move to another location to find the independent living in a safe environment that I now require. My children are comfortable knowing that I have a security network of friends, and staff at Lake View Village are excellent. I enjoy the camaraderie being formed through the open seating at meals and the many scheduled activities each month. I especially enjoyed the Old Time Fiddlers that came in to entertain us recently. After living with my family for the past 7 years I now like having my own apartment where I can putter around and do my own thing. As a senior there is no better place to live.

I like the atmosphere at Castle Wood Village; it's definitely the beautiful place to be, because if you didn't like it here then you wouldn't like it anywhere. The staff here are so compassionate and understanding and that make us feel like a big family. The dining experience is good and the service is excellent and we even get multiple choices for dinner. It is a great place for meeting friends. I think the entertainment is just superb, I feel so lucky to have the entertainment every week and it helps us stay young and feeling good about life. We have a bus service which is just great for me because it will take us to appointments, shopping, etc what ever I need. I enjoy the monthly bus trips because they are a lot of fun and brighten up your whole day. My suite is perfect, it's very comfortable and cozy and you know, it is very comforting to know that the staffs is in the building 24hrs a day so if anything happens they're just a call away. Yes I would definitely say Castle Wood Village is the Place to be.

The recreation program is wonderful and I do not like to miss the daily exercise program, I have even started to dance again (something I have always liked to do) at our regular Saturday Night Entertainment. (Ian - we have used this in a shortened version "I have even started to dance again")
